CCS student enrichment learning experiences are 100% donor-funded
A key to the College's success for 50+ years is our unwavering commitment to provide students with hands-on learning opportunities and life-changing experiences. We are grateful to our philanthropic community, providing the critical means for students in all 8 majors to immerse themselves in new experiences, including summer undergraduate fellowships. These fellowships enable students to spend a summer engaged in full-time research in established labs and creative projects at UCSB under the close guidance of faculty.

CCS launched The Create Fund in Fall 2017 during its 50th Anniversary to expand student opportunities, especially during the summer, which is a prime time for students to continue their immersive undergraduate experience. The Create Fund seeks to:
- Make available summer fellowships to students in all eight majors
- Expand fellowship opportunities to include creative works and entrepreneurship-focused endeavors in addition to research
- Build on the College’s successful model in which CCS scholars and creators are guided by exceptional UCSB faculty
- Summer Undergraduate Fellowships

Summer fellowships are supported by The Create Fund and are key to undergraduate experiential learning at CCS. They provide students in all eight majors the opportunity to:
- Conduct research, develop original creative work, and focus on entrepreneurship-focused endeavors
- Spend the summer engaged in full-time research and creative activities under the guidance of exceptional UC Santa Barbara faculty
